Dearly loved husband of Maree, loved father of Brooke and Hayley, father-in-law of Jamie and grandfather of Macey and Fletcher.

A private funeral service for Mr Trevor Salter will be held next TUESDAY (Sept 8th, 2020) at 1.30 pm.

I am very sad to hear of Trevor,s passing. Trevor was my Grade 6 Teacher in 1966 at Lakeside Primary School in Reservoir. I can still remember that he played A Grade Amateur Football with Coburg Amateurs and he also represented Victoria. Trevor was a great Teacher. May he rest in peace.

I am very sad to hear of Trevor’s passing. One of the best! Such a wicked sense of humour that made teaching alongside him at Bourchier St such a joy! Was never quite sure what he might do next but it always ended with a good laugh! A lovely man gone too soon!

Dearest Maree and the family.
We are saddened by the loss of your wonderful devoted husband.
We know that he was a vibrant dynamic character enjoying life to the full but also had a gentle and quietness about him. He loved his cricket, footy – following Carlton and playing the game. He was quick to make or return a quip or make you smile and in helping and assisting others.
We will remember him as a lively gentleman and yet a quietly spoken man.
I know that you will miss him and we just pray for the comfort and peace of God Our Heavenly Father to be with you at this time.
We love you and just want to give you a big, big hug at this time.

Trevor was such a gentlemen. He spoke about his family with so much love .

I was taught by Trevor at Westbreen PS in 1969, and he inspired me to pursue a 40 year career as teacher and principal.
Best wishes and kind thoughts from me, and all the Westbreen students who remember him as a great teacher and a good bloke.
I am sure he will be fondly and greatly missed.

All too brief having known you, but brief as it was I really enjoyed your company. Another beautiful man taken to early. Our sincerest of condolences to Maree, Hayley, Brooke, Jamie, Macey and Fletch. You have your memories forever and some doosies they are! Like the time Trev nearlt burnt his and our house down :))) and the very interesting colour palette he chose for the shed. We would often sit in our back garden wondering what he was up to next... Loved working with Trevor at Flemington. Such a gentleman, always happy with a big smile on his face. (Except when Carlton lost) Then met Maree and was so lucky to have both of them babysit my 2 big dogs while we went on holidays. Such a sad time. Will miss him heaps. I spent a short time working with Trevor at Bunnings, i will never forget the day we were unpacking wet cardboard out of terracotta pots when a huge black rat appeared.
Once we stopped screaming and put gloves on. We were hard back at it when Trevor comes running out of the aisle with a leaf rake raised above his head screaming LOOK OUT, we all screamed again, as he slammed the rake to the ground, like he hard caught something.. he says did you see it??? Trevor was a beautiful man who always looked on the bright side of life. Working with him at Flemington was always fun, listening to stories about his grandkids and all about his travels with Maree. Trevor was a true gentleman and was taken much too soon. I will really miss him. RIP Trevor, can’t believe you’re actually gone. xx
