Tributes

  1. George, such a lovely man. My first boss in Melbourne. A regional girl from Northern Victoria I really don't know what struck me. My first job and a man who was my boss with that accent.Fotop films. Knew nothing about it. George you realised you got a naive assistant there. But you soon shaped me up. You gave me a camera from stock and sent me out onto the Streets of Melbourne to take pics after a brief lesson in cameras. You gave me confidence in myself. It was a pleasure to work with and for you. It was always interesting. I heard about the bird man rally and your endeavours to get it started. You were an extremely entertaining and fair boss, who also had empathy. Since the late 70s we would keep in touch about every so often as I live in country Victoria. I was saddened to hear of your passing, my heartfelt deepest condolences to your family. Rest in peace George, I'll always remember you with thanks and love xxx
