Passed away peacefully at home.

Aged 58 years.

Beloved partner to Corinna.  Loving father to James and Amy; stepfather to Tammi, Rachel and Daniel.  Adored grandfather to Georgie and Lucas.

Cherished son of Val and Charlie, and brother to James (UK) and Richard.  Loved stepson to Peter.

Service

Thursday July 06, 2023 - 12:00 am

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service for Mr Mark Xavier Bartolo to be held at our Chapel, cnr High St & Murradoc Rd, Drysdale on THURSDAY (July 6, 2023) commencing at 2pm, followed by Burial at the Drysdale Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Andrew Love Centre.  Please see link below:

  1. Once in a lifetime do you meet someone like Mark.
    I first met Mark around 1980 through a mutual friend and of course it involved motocross bike riding that turned into motocross racing.
    Mark immediately made me feel like we had been friends forever, that was his very nature.
    My career took me away from Geelong in the late 1980’s and sadly we lost touch for far too long.
    We managed to catch up with Mark and Corinna in February 2020 in Perth during their around Australia caravanning trip and I’m so glad we got to catch up after so many decades and speak on the phone from then onwards.
    We last spoke in February, so today I’m in complete shock and full of sadness to learn of his passing.
    You certainly were one of a kind Mark and the world has lost an awesome person.

    Our loss is heavens gain.

    We send our thoughts and love to Corinna, James, Richard, Val, Charlie, extended family and friends.

  3. So many fun times in the 1990's with Mark and his cousin Brendon singing and playing music.
    I still have Mark singing Garth Brooks songs, and what a thrill he had to sing and record those.
    I'll cherish those memories and those recordings.

  5. Mark, Nearly 58 years ago our worlds joined together, you were my first true friend, my life long friend and my forever friend. We were cousins by blood but friends by choice. I will love you for eternity. THE BEST COUSIN EVER. My life will never be the same. Thanks for a life time of special memories my dear Mark.
