Tributes
I remember many lengthy chats with Steve over the years about the most curious and interesting topics - boy did he know a lot of stuff! Always there for his family and a constant presence at celebrations and family centred events. Sending love to all that were dear to Steve, especially my lifelong friend Lucy x

I met Steve when I first started to work at Bay FM in Geelong. He had a milk bar back in the day and we got on well. That was 33 years ago and we had a friendship through all those years. I married an American some years back and went to live in America. One night, Steve and Mary rolled up at my back door out of the blue (well with some sneaky planning by my wife and Mary.) I freaked out!! hehe. We used to have long lunches every Monday out at the mud brick house in Anglesea. Lots to eat and lots of shooting of guns and drinking. He was the master cocktail maker at the brut de brut club at Tony's antique joint and a master model maker and builder of boats. Not to mention the beach buggies he used to race. He was a wild man. My kind of guy. I loved him dearly and am very sad this world has lost him. I had just booked a ticket to come and see my old friend, sadly, I missed the boat. Bless ya stevie, wherever you are mate. 33 years of good friendship. I'll treasure your Dryzabone whenever I where it and the knives you sent me. Love ya man. RIP "Ettienne le chef" See ya one day mate, for sure.

Steve,
Was an absolute pleasure having you as a brother
in law and as part of the family. I've never been one to drink champagne 🍾 but you certainly changed that. Your love of Mary was so evident and overwhelming. Maybe now buddy you can start building a boat 🚢 uninterrupted. A fun guy who was always up to sharing a joke and good times.

Lucy and Row, we are sorry to hear of your loss. Remember the good times and you will smile soon. Love from across the miles, your Yanks--Steve and Gail
