  12. Oh Bev, such sadness I felt when your lovely granddaughter Sarah found my contact details and let Nathan and I know of your passing. What a courageous life you have had, I will never forget visiting you in hospital after your brain surgery 25+ years ago, even in pain and in a frightening situation you still smiled and had a little pun to say to lighten the mood. I'm sure you know how special both yourself and Bob are to us, taking us on in our Qld years as your surrogate family, as both you and us were without our family close. Meeting your kids and grandkids when they visited and always loving have us still come by even though you were spending time with your beloved interstate family. We have many memories, you baby sitting Nathan when I went back to work, day trips out to parks, doing the RSPCA million paws walk with our dogs together you lovingly pushing Nathan in his pram, our swimming pool on hot days, you both looking after dogs when I first started my business or just having lunch and a cuppa at your dining room table which was so often whilst I was on maternity leave. The memories are to many to mention them all. I think the biggest gift we ever gave you was your beloved Harry, that just cemented our bond. You will be missed, We are so sad that we have not physically seen you for a number of years, but the phone calls and the birthday and Christmas cards were always such a treasured thing. It was so special the last time we talked, Bob didn't know who I was but he said to you, geez I know that voice, then to me the same thing, made both of us tear up a little. You rest in peace you were the most loyal and giving beautiful soul and we are so blessed that you were in our lives, we will always treasure the friendship and your surrogacy to us. Nathan says farewell Nana Bev I love you and I say I wish I had, had the chance for one more hug and catch up. I loved you to! Sorry we lived so far away and we didn't get to see you more often. Love always, I (Barb) will be there on Fri to celebrate your life and to be with your loved ones to send you off xx
