Beloved husband of Marie, father of Gerard, Martin, Stephen, Kevin and Katrina.

Father-in-law of Carolyn and Goshen.

Grandpa of Lachlan, Aaron, Xavier, Tom, Darcy and Asher.

Service

Monday October 24, 2022 - 12:00 am

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Barry Lloyd Hanson to be held at the Ocean Grove Surf Lifesaving Club, 26-30 Surf Beach Rd, Ocean Grove on <strong>MONDAY (October 24)</strong> commencing at 11 am.

Barry's service will be Livestreamed through our website.

  1. Jan and I send our condolences to Marie and the Hanson family. We have been neighbours for many years, and have many memories of Barry, Marie, and the younger kids growing up. But, we learnt much we didn't know about Barry just now while viewing the wonderful tributes by Steve and Kevin during the celebration of Barry's life, one so filled with family, community and fun.

    Like everyone else, we are still getting used to the news of Barry's sudden and untimely death, but are grateful that it was peaceful and on his own terms. He was a poster boy for growing old interestedly, actively and usefully, right to the end. We are sorry we could not join you on Monday, as we were away.

    Having grown up with Gerard at OGPS & QHS - plus Venturers with Gerard & Martin I had a lot to do with your family.
