Ian and Jenny were like grandparents to me when I was young. I still fondly remember collecting milk thistle and feeding the birds with them, and how kind and welcoming they always were to my siblings and I. Thinking of Jenny, Brett, Dwayne, Greg and the rest of family.

My deepest condolences to Jenny and all of the McKenzie family.

Ian’s love of family, loyalty, generosity and willingness to help others were qualities that touched many lives. Together, Jenny and Ian created a family that was clearly the centre of his world.

I see those same qualities reflected in his three boys, Brett, Greg and Dwane, whom he loved dearly and was so proud of. They are a living part of his legacy, as are the grandchildren who brought him such happiness.

I feel privileged to have known Ian and to have been welcomed so warmly into the McKenzie family.

Fond memories of our dear friend Ian. We shared so many happy times together over 61 years. Our kids grew up together and we had a lot of fun. Sadly distance and old age has limited our contact over recent years, but you were often in our thoughts. Our love to Jenny, Brett, Dwane, Greg and their families. Our thoughts are with you all.
