  6. Our beautiful George. What a big void you have left in our lives. You were the very first person we met when we arrived to buy our little house next door to you and Willy. We knew instantly that we had found our home after chatting with you. You made us feel so welcome and part of the family. We will miss you dearly. Love you always Karen and Dave.

  9. I have many fond memories of times spent with George. As young men, George, me, Laurie and Norm would cohort together at various clubs, like the Polaris Inn in Carlton. George was always happy and gregarious and a pleasure to be around: I loved his sense of humour.
Compared to me, George has always been a big man, but he never, ever, used his size to intimidate or threaten me. On the contrary, he was always a helpful, friendly, a gentle soul and never disparaging.
