Tributes

  1. To Peter, Cameron & Andrew,
My deepest sympathy to you all at the loss of Sandy a very dear friend for so many years since growing up together with all the Jeffs family when living in South Ruislip. Our families were close friends and Sandy and I enjoyed a great relationship as she called me almost a third ‘brother’ as we all did so much together.
At least Sandy is no longer suffering and is at peace. Again , my very deepest sympathy.
I hope to be with you on line to pay my deepest respects.

  2. Sandy, you were my beautiful and much loved Auntie. Obviously we grew up and lived on opposite sides of the world but we always had a very special bond.
My first memory of you was being your Bridesmaid in 1971 and age 4, I can remember how beautiful you looked and how I wanted to be just like you. My photo of us that day is framed in my lounge and is one of my most treasured things.
In 1990 I made my first trip to Australia, visiting you, Peter, Cam, Andrew, Grandma and Grandad for Christmas. You made sure I had the best trip possible and we all had lots of fun, we shared many early morning walks, you took me to see all the important Aussie things, we shopped, we drank bubbles, we talked a lot and we laughed even more. Sandy, you were always great fun and never lost your mischievous ‘Jeffs’ side.
I think it was during that trip that we became really close and realised how alike we were. We shared a love of family, of 60’s music, of bubbles and of Chelsea Football Club, we often chatted about latest football scores and England v Australia cricket during a phone call. On several occasions we sent people the exact same birthday card despite buying them in different continents.
You always had lots of time for everyone and throughout my life you were always there for me. Whenever I needed you, you would just know, and would be on the first available flight over to England to be by my side, offering me support and love and always with lots of tears when you had to go home again. I hope that you knew how much you helped me and how important those visits were, I loved having you with me and never wanted you to leave.
Sandy, you were so caring and loving, and you gave so much time to everyone else. You cared for Grandma and Grandad throughout their lives and were the glue that held Peter and your boys together. You always wanted to know what Charlotte, Isabel and Oliver were up to and always sent us thoughtful gifts and cards. You were always beautifully dressed, had a smile that would light the room and had a great sense of humour.
Sandy, I can’t believe that you are gone, I would give anything for one last visit or one last phone call. Thank you for always being there for me, I will always wish that I could have jumped on a plane and been there for you when you needed me. I will miss you and our chats so much but I feel blessed to have had you in my life and I hope you knew how much I loved you.
Rest in peace my beautiful Auntie, until we meet again.

  3. Our beautiful Aunty Sandra,
It hurts my heart to know that I will never see that lovely smiley face again, I want to thank you for all of the laughs and memories over the years, I will hold them in my heart forever.
I can’t begin to tell you how much you will be missed, you really were a presence that everyone wanted to be around but we will all remember you and talk about you always.
You’re at rest now, we love you more than you’ll ever know. Charlotte, Izzy and Ollie xxx

  5. Sandy has been a dear friend for 25 years. We have shared lots, laughed and cried and even had a glass of bubbles or two.
She was kind, caring and loving to her friends. but no greater love than how she loved her family. Peter, Cameron, Chardy the dog and Andrew, Kate and grandchildren.
Andrew’s family and Sandy’s extended family live in England and contact by skype, photos and postcards was the usual way to keep in contact, which was great for Sandy and she loved to share these events.

We are sad, but we know Sandy was weary and it was time to leave us.
We have cherished Sandy’s friendship and the memories we hold close to our hearts.
