A Funeral Prayer Service for Barry Joseph Phelan will be held at our Chapel, Cnr High St and Murradoc Rd Drysdale, on THURSDAY (Dec 3rd) commencing at 11.00 am followed by burial at Drysdale Cemetery.

So saddened to hear of Barry's passing......Remembering the good times at Ouyen and Tiega and the many Grand Finals we played in together... a dedicated Hawthorn supporter like myself and Barry gave me the opportunity to train with Hawthorn in 1965.......his golfing and racing passions in Bendigo were often discussed with much laughter at the "meeting place" Mitchell Street TAB.......Heartfelt sympathies to Kim, Lisa, Jodie, Simon, David and families from the Pengelly families of Bendigo and Ouyen ..

I would like to pass on to Barry’s family my condolences on your loss. Barry was my first football coach at Tiega and was so much respected as a successful coach, brilliant footballer and most of all a great person. My brothers Kevin, Brian & I have many great memories of Barry on and off football ground. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
