Funeral notice
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for the late James (Jim) Stebbing.
To be held at St Thomas' Catholic Church (1/27 Peninsula Dr, Drysdale)
on FRIDAY (August 14, 2026) at 10:00AM
Burial to take place at Fawkner Cemetery 3:00PM

I have just heard the news of Jim’s passing RIP. I so sorry to hear this, condolences to all the Stebbing family. Jim was a wonderful gentleman who showed kindness, patience, love and humour when I stayed at his house in 2008 when I visited Australia for world youth day all the way from Leeds England. Jim and Glennis accepted me, my sister Berni and Amy into their home with open arms where we stayed for one week. What wonderful memories we have of our time in Melbourne. My sister has always stayed in contact with Jim via email and kept him up to date with all our lives as did he. Jim was a wonderful man and will be missed by all. Gods blessings Always Jim. Rest in eternal peace. Xx

Dearest Jim, I'm so glad we kept in touch. Mum and Dad (Len and Sarah Summers) would be so pleased, as they cherished their close friendship with you and Glennis for many years. Jim, I'm going to miss our phone calls. We certainly chatted just about everything. We had plenty of laughs yet serious conversations. You are now with your darling Glennis. Rest peacefully Jim.
