Very sorry to hear the passing of Malcom.
I was emailing him on and off last year, telling me how he follows his Rugby team and plays Croquet in the village where he lives.
We too followed Leeds Rugby League with my Dad and have great memories.
Malcolm and Elma were very good friends of my Mum and Dad, Colin and Shirley Wilson, they had great times together, Malcolm and Elma were God parents to my Brother Simon.
Our Mum unfortunately bless her, died at the age of 86, 9th January 2025.
May they all rest in peace and watch over all of us!.
Love to all, Simon, Philip and Daniel Wilson.xJanuary 17, 2025 11:18 pm
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Uncle Malcolm.
I thought I would share some fond memories from my childhood.
We would visit Uncle Malcolm and Auntie Elma on our trips back up north to Leeds during our school holidays.
I fondly remember our trip to relocate their boat from one canal to another only to find ourselves stuck due to flooding rains.
Water from a local river flooded into the canal stranding us at multiple lochs for hours.Let’s not forget the trips to the rugby as a younger which always saw him very vocal for the mighty Leeds! Grandad, Dad and uncle Malcolm screaming their lungs out as I moved between their shoulders in the hustling crowd. Malcolm even managed to clock a linesman on the back of the head with an apple core after a questionable decision on one occasion.
And then there was the missing finger up his nose trick. It always kept us entertained at Nanas Christmas dinner table when she was distracted.
Goodbye Uncle Malcolm.
Rest in peace as your finally reunited with Auntie Elma.Lots of Andy and Di xx
