Passed away peacefully at St John of God Hospital in Geelong on the 1st of March 2024.
Loved by all her family.
Funeral notice
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for Ms Amanda Jane Wallace to be held at St Mary of the Angels Basilica, 136-148 Yarra St, Geelong on FRIDAY (March 8, 2024) commencing at 11:15am.
Rosary will be prayed at 11am prior to the Service.
Private Cremation.

Alex, Maddie, and Min, your mother meant the world to me, my husband, and sons. We were all so shocked to hear of her passing. You did such an amazing job on her service, it was such a wonderful reflection of her life and love. We will miss her so much. Love Susan, Jeff, and boys.

Our family was greatly saddened to hear of Amanda’s passing. She was a beautiful girl growing up and a lovely friendly member of the Bolac St kids who mixed and mingled happily together, no matter what their age, colour, creed or background. Your mum Marie was a friend and neighbour who was so proud of her kids. Looking at Amanda’s life in photos, I was stunned at how like Marie Amanda was and became.

Amanda, the way you lived your life has always been an inspiration to many. Your smile & laughter from the early days at St. V’s still lingers in my memories. Catching up with you was always like there had been no time since the last moment we met. Rest in peace!

Our deepest and most heart filled sympathies and condolences to the entire Wallace family, especially her loving children, Alex, Min and Maddie. Amanda- an unbelievably wonderful, intelligent, warm, witty, beautiful and joyful woman who brought light into every room she entered. To know her was to love her. Amanda made friendships the world over, friendships that endured for decades in spite of the distance. I am honored to be one of those friends and my heart breaks for the loss of this amazing human being. My sincerest condolences to Alex, Min and Maddie, their partners, and all the Wallace family. Dear Amanda.
My longest, dearest friend over 60 years. So many memories growing up, our long talks on our walk to school, our dreams. You jammed a lot of those dreams and challenges into your life over those years.Your presence would always light up the room, a beautiful soul always had a smile for every situation. Always asking how everyone else was before worrying about yourself.
You always left a special impression on everyone that met you.

Amanda was loving, kind, compassionate and generous of herself and her time. She put the care of people above all else - in both her professional and personal life. She had a zest for life that was contagious and was always up for an adventure. She was also smart, funny and practical. She raised 3 loving and beautiful humans and touched the lives of so many others, ensuring her beautiful spirit will live on.
We are truly shocked that she is gone - we miss her and will always remember her.

I feel lucky to have called Amanda a friend and colleague. She was always quick to smile, exuding such warmth. She always had wise words, and time for others. I’ll also miss her cheeky laugh.

There are no words to express our sorrow for the loss of our dear friend and colleague. We were privileged to call her our friend and an amazing work mate. She will always be in our heart and we will plant a mountain ash in her honour. She will always be with us on our farm as her strength and passion for life grows with us. Our love and deepest sympathy to Alex, Mad and Min, to Amanda’s siblings and all of the community of Amanda’s friends and family. My heart breaks for you all - I always remember your mum saying how seeing our parents juggle home and family life made her realize that she would like her own children. She was so immensely proud of you all. And I loved seeing how much zest for life she had.

I will miss such a wonderful and kind and wise woman. Honestly I don’t know how to express the loss I feel so I can’t imagine Min’s, Maddie’s and Alex’s loss. I guess all I can do is say how wonderful their mother was to me and send my prayers and condolence. Amanda welcomed my family into her life and we had such fun. I loved her with all my heart.

A beautiful woman who lived life to the fullest! She left a legacy and love and connection with every person she met. When making a decision on travel, music, gatherings or really anything of fun we can ask “what would Amanda do?” A woman who loved her children and grandchildren so fiercely.
